How to Care for Curly Hairstyles

How to Care for Curly HairstylesBecause curly hair has a trend to be dryer, more brittle and inclined to frizz it requires more cautious handling than consecutive hair to hold it looking its better. First let's discover away what makes hair wavy in the best spot. There is much than one school of thought on this topic. Some hair scholars think whether your hair is consecutive or curly depends on the form of the hair beam, which is determined by the form of the hair follicle. A cross part opinion of a consecutive hair would seem bout, while a related opinion of a wavy hair would seem elliptical. This form is determined by a hereditary pre-disposition. Others think that hair is wavy or consecutive, depending upon the amount of disulfide bonds between hair proteins establish in the hair beam. The thought is that the greater the amount of links between sulphur atoms, the curlier the hair, conversely, the less the amount of links, the straighter the hair. I believe both opinions are accurate. The form of the follicle would account for the curve, and the high amount of disulfide bonds too known as sulphur bonds would account for its arid, brittle texture.

Now that we know why our wavy locks are arid and brittle and need particular handling what precisely should we make about it? Always take a mild shampoo, sooner a sulfate-free preparation, and take a regular hydrating conditioner when you rinse your hair. Wash your hair every new day instead of mundane, but take just conditioner on the days that you wear't shampoo. Apply the conditioner as you would a shampoo and rinse easily. Although they do not lather conditioners do get some cleansing power. I received a letter from a reader who has taken this conception to the extreme.

I oasis't used shampoo in about a year and a half. I exfoliate my scalp twice a week, consumption conditioners and take moisturizers to "tidy" my hair. The hypothesis is wavy hair is then arid it can't manage shampoos, still truly costly ones. Anyway, I never knew how wavy my hair truly was until I started this plan, and as I said, its never looked best. Shiny, curly. Anyway, I'm glad with it. Layered, reasonably long, but not to an absurd extent.

I'm overly brief. I have never been especially better at "doing" my hair, then this manner works for me. On uncommon function, I take a thin iron. But simply seldom, and simply when I need to seem a little little of an available feeling. For instance, am going to a dark link matter at the Beverly Wilshire Sat. night, charity matter the Bank has sponsored, anyhow, I need to seem like a banker for that then will go the iron to my locks.

This is rather a tribute for not using shampoo but I wear't think it would make for all of us. I occur to recognize this woman has really dense, curly hair. This regime might not make easily for somebody with medium to elegant hair that would be more susceptible to merchandise build-up. That is when your hair becomes weighed downward, wilted and lifeless from overly more merchandise left in the hair. This trouble is better remedied by using a mild clarifying shampoo.

A better procedure to worry for your wavy tresses would be to shampoo your hair every new day, circumstance your hair every day and take an intense moisturizing handling formerly a week. Always take a soft weight leave-in conditioning detangler and a broad toothed combing on damp hair to trade with unyielding tangles. Have patience and manage your curls with maintenance. Hair breaks easier when damp and breakage causes frizz and divide ends.

How to Choose Suitable Haircuts

When selecting a hair model, you first need to recognize their own hair type. Nothing, hair texture is the most important part that must be considered when determining the model's hair.

Hair texture is also a key to determining how and hair washing habits, to kind of gel or mousse should be used. If you have soft hair and fell, it would be fitting if cut with a model layer around the face and let the rest fall loose shoulder length. Tinting will increase the volume of hair, but if you do not like coloring hair, can be enough to highlight the top layer.

If you have hair-layer model, it is advisable to frequently wash your hair. Especially if you're a hot-air heat, sweat and dirt remains vulnerable hide among the hair layer. Use a shampoo that can clean up the pores of the scalp in order to perfect rose oil, because oil can make hair limp.

If your hair is dry, use a liquid gloss to add shine to hair tip. Try a protein-based volumizer and use of the scalp to the ends of hair. Hairpins about 2 inches from the hairline and let it dry naturally. This can make hair look high volume and at the top.

Wavy hair types should also create a layer, since the layer can make hair look not so swell. Long-short is not too important. For this type of hair should wash your hair every day, and use styling products, such as gloss, gel, or mousse-based silicon-based rather than alcohol. Nothing, alcohol can make hair dry.

Nice curly hair left long. It's just a hairdresser ask you to make a thin models that hair does not look too swell. Simply wash your hair every other day using a heavy conditioner. Wait a few moments before conditioner cream rinse to soak into the content of each strand of hair. When using the product structuring ramut, do not forget to choose a silicone-based, not alcohol-based.

So inject some volume into your tresses and get used to feeling great! The simple tips below will help you get beautiful and sexy hair that's chock full of volume in minutes!

High Volume Hair Tips

  • Get a hair cut: chin to shoulder length hair has more body, so to maximize your hair's volume speak to your hairdresser about cutting it to this length.
  • Use the right shampoo for your hair type: if you don't your hair can be weighed down and will look limp and lifeless.

  • Style with volume-boosting hair products: if you have fine hair then mousse is best; get yourself a good root-booster hair product too.
  • Blow-dry your way to body and volume: blow-dry a small section at a time working from the bottom up, aiming at the roots and finishing each section with a blast of cool air; finish by spritzing hairspray on the roots.

How to Get Eva Longoria’s Hairstyle - Step By Step Guide

Eva Longoria may play a desperate housewife but her hair is purely divine. If you want to get your own version of Eva Longoria’s hairstyle, read on for the inside scoop.

eva longoria celebrity hairstyles pictures photos
Step 1
Wear this hairstyle if you have thick hair that has some natural wave to it. Straight hair can still apply for this style but it may take a little more work to get it there.

Step 2
Cut your hair like Eva Longoria’s hair in a long, layered shag cut. The length of the hair can vary but should be at least to your shoulders for best results.

Step 3
Layer beginning approximately at mouth level in the front and left a little longer in the back. The hair is angled and layered to meet the bottom length giving long, soft layers that will give you tons of styling options.

Step 4
Don’t wear bangs with this hairstyle. Instead the hair is worn with a middle part and frames the face.

Step 5
Apply a volumizing mousse to towel dried hair and section off your hair so a two-inch section remains at the bottom and the rest is pinned up and out of your way.

Step 6
Begin blow drying the first section with a paddle brush and a blow drier with a nozzle attachment. Point the nozzle of the blow drier down at the hair to seal the cuticle and promote smoothness.

Step 7
Work your way up the top of your head, making sure each section is completely dry before beginning another.

Step 8
Give yourself a middle part and finish smoothing those final layers when you reach the top layers of your head.

Step 9
Heat up a large-barreled curling iron and use it to create the big, flipped back curls in Eva Longoria’s hairstyle.

Step 10
Start at the back of the head and take a section of hair approximately two inches wide that runs from the middle of your head down to the bottom of your hair. You want to leave the top layers of your hair out of the curling iron and keep them lying smooth.

Step 11
Close the curling iron onto the ends of the first section, making sure the very ends are inside the barrel’s clamp to avoid kinks. If some of the layers fall out while adjusting don’t worry—you can curl those ones separately.

Step 12
Twist the curling iron back and away from your face while you wrap the entire section around the curling iron. Stop wrapping when your iron is sitting an inch away from your scalp in an up and down position. Let the hair sit for three to four seconds to allow the heat to penetrate all the hair.

Step 13
Release the clamp and carefully slide the barrel of the curling iron down and out of the newly formed curl by lowering it until it “falls” out the bottom. You want to preserve the curl as is as much as possible so it can cool in its new shape.

Step 14
Repeat this process with all the layers of your hair until you have many, large and long curls that bend back and away from your face.

Step 15
Coat your hands with a styling wax and gently separate the curls. You still want to leave the basic shape so don’t play with them too much. The wax will help define your curls into many tiny flips that blend and flow towards the back of the head.

Step 16
Finish off with a light misting of hairspray. Be careful not to overdo it on the hairspray—this style should have movement and be touchable. Helmut heads aren’t trendy.

Final Note:

Eva Longoria’s hairstyle looks twice as nice thanks to bold highlights throughout. Try adding some lighter sections to your hair for the same effect.

If you can’t be bothered with all that curling try wearing the same hairstyle straight. Flip the layers back while blow drying and go for a sleeker version of Eva Longoria’s hairstyle.

Green Hair Care Tips

With the whole world turning to green energy and green products, there is little being said on taking care of one’s hair on the green. Many people do not think about what changes can be made to help turn show time into green energy and energy consumption time, although it can be done.

1. Limit the time in the shower- By limiting the time one is in the shower, the amount of hot water being used is decreased and the amount of energy used is decreased. This helps the environment because water usage is down, gas usage is down, and energy is being conserved.

2. Wash your hair once every other day- If you ask a hair care professional how often to wash one’s hair, he or she will often say once every other day or every two days. This gives one’s hair more time to recover the natural oils that were stripped away during the washing process. This leads to softer, more manageable hair that has a very soft feel.

3. Rinse with cold water- By rinsing with cold water, the gas consumption is decreased. This in turn decreases the amount of pollution in the air and provides for a greener world. Need another reason to turn off the heat? The cold air helps to close the pores in the skin and the follicles in the hair. This leads to fewer pimples and shinier and softer hair.

4. Do not repeat- Many of the shampoo bottles suggest repeating the wash cycle when washing one’s hair. This is not necessary in most cases and only helps to further strip the hair of the necessary oils that make it shine and be manageable. This also leads to more use of the shampoo and therefore more waste.

5. Buy the bigger bottles- Although large bottles of shampoo tend to have more plastic in them, they also have more shampoo in them and cost less that the smaller bottles. Because the larger bottles have more shampoo in them, it is possible to use less plastic in the end because fewer bottles of shampoo will be purchased.

6. Use recycled bottles- Many recycled bottles and products in recycled bottles will mention that the bottle has been recycled. This can help to reduce the amount of pollution and increase the green living of care hair. Additional benefits include being able to recycle that bottle.

Looking for Hair Extension?

Women everywhere take great delight in changing their hairstyle. This often means a trip to the salon for a cut, perm, or style. Special occasions seem to intensify the need to choose a special hairstyle.

While it is easy to have hair cut off, sometimes it is preferable to add length to the hair for certain styles. Hair extensions make it possible to do just that. Most hair extensions require one to a series of visits to the salon to have them installed properly by professionals. Clip in extensions are a do it yourself alternative that enable a woman to style her own hair and make it longer at home with professional looking results.

Clip in extensions can be made from either genuine human hair or synthetic fibers. The ones made from human hair cost more than synthetics but have some preferable qualities.

Clip in extensions made from hair can be colored, styled, and otherwise treated exactly as a woman would treat her own hair. Color matching is more perfect than most synthetic extensions and the human hair extensions will last up to a year while the synthetic ones are only good for about two months.

Clip in extensions made from synthetic fibers cost less than human hair extensions. They may not be as durable as genuine hair, but they do have some qualities that could make them worthwhile. Hair has a tendency to go limp in wet or very humid climates. Synthetic extensions are made with a "memory" of the shape they are supposed to hold and maintain that shape regardless of the weather.

They must be treated carefully though. Synthetic hair extensions will be irreparably damaged if one attempts to color treat them the way hair is color treated. Curling irons and other styling tools that use heat may be harmful as well.

Regardless of which material is used to fashion the clip in hair extensions, the design is ideal for the woman who wishes to make a major change to her hairstyle for a short time without long term commitment.

Most salon applied hair extensions use some form of chemical bonding to attach them to the hair fibers. Clip ins can be added and removed at will by the woman wearing them. This versatility makes clip in extensions the preferred method of women who like caring for their hair themselves.

Hair extensions have grown in popularity over the last few years. The ability to add back length and volume without damaging hair further makes them a readily available resource for women who have taken on a short hair style, but desire to do something requiring longer hair for a special occasion or they decide that short hair is not right for them and do not want to wait for it to grow back out.

Winter Hair Care Tips you Dont Know

Well, the summer months are falling behind us and the winter months are quickly approaching. While many people are beginning their early Christmas shopping, the majority of women are not looking forward to the hat head and dehydrated hair associated with winter. This winter, hit the ground running with a few winter hair care tips you didn't know.

The Hat Head

Alright, you know that winter is cold and inevitably you will have to deal with hat head from time to time. The worst part about hat head is not the fact that you need to wear a hat, they can actually be quite stylish, it is the static that is associated with the hat after your remove it.

This winter try sticking to a cotton hat instead of those wool hats you are used to. The wool hat produces far more static electricity than the cotton hat. When wearing a cotton winter hat you will be able to keep just as warm without dealing with the fly aways after you remove the hat.

When you encounter a knot, be gentle with the hair and do not tug the comb through further damaging the hair and possibly the root.

For added moisture, try mayonnaise or eggs on the hair. These natural moisture trappers will keep the hair soft and moist all winter long.

This winter keep those locks beautiful and static free with these little known hair care tips. Just because the winter months are upon us does not mean we have to live with unsightly hair until spring.

Fall Haircare Tips

To enjoy the fall season, some subtle and small changes to the way one looks will ensure that one looks and feels at his or her best throughout the season. A few basic tips that can be incorporated in any haircare routine will go a long to making this possible.

Just as trees shed leaves, one will tend to shed more hair during fall than in other seasons. Thus, it is important to condition the scalp to ensure that it holds new hairs when they begin to come out. Regular conditioning will ensure the scalp is maintained in good health and this practice will usually help replenish any lost moisture and keep the remaining hair looking resilient and shiny. However, consulting a stylist before using a certain formula will ensure the conditioner does not interfere with any color treatment. Oiling hair is also important as it ensures the hair is free of dandruff, irritation and infections. It will also protect from certain hair losses. In addition, applying oil on the scalp will aid ensuring the growth of healthy firm hair.

The type of oil to use is also important when taking care of hair during the fall. For example, using coconut oil provides a cooling effect on the head. Beautiful hair is maintained by ensuring it has essential air circulation and that it does not trap heat. Applying a turban made from hot towels after combing the out of the hair ends will help to make sure the oil penetrates into the scalp and affect individual hair shafts. The oil should be left for about an hour or so, or if it applied at night, it can be left overnight. After this, the oil should be washed clean a number of times until all the oil has been removed. After this, the hair locks should be healthy and vibrant with a shiny look.

Exposure to the sun and chlorine will usually have taken a heavy toll on one’s hair. However, this damage can easily be reversed and hair replenished by having a deep conditioning treatment. Alternatively, keratin treatment will usually keep the hair looking frizz free for months. Sometimes it may not be advisable to wash hair regularly during fall, especially if one wants to maintain that glam loose hair. Instead of regular washing and blow-drying, it is recommended to use dry shampoo. Baby shampoo can also be used to absorb grease and sweat, especially after spending the day at the gym or out of doors.

Good hygiene is always important in healthy, appealing hair especially during autumn. Such things as brushing properly and good nutrition of well-balanced diets of fresh fruits, vegetables like spinach and taking lots of water helps not only in having beautiful hair but one with an improved texture. Brushing should especially be done before retiring for bed. Brushing should be done from the back to the front. About 50 to 100 strokes will ensure dirt and pollutants are removed and that natural oils and oxygen get the needed circulation. It is also advisable to fry foods, nuts, animal fats and dairy products. Some dandruff shampoos also tend to dry out the hair and should be used after diluting them. In fall, hair generally grows much slower, but by following a healthy regiment of good hair practices and good eating habits, hair growth can be maintained looking vibrant until the next fall season.

Prom Hairstyles: Hair Extension

How is it that some girls have great prom hair, and other girls don’t? It all depends on how you take care of your hair, and what you use on it. It is not easy. We all know how important it is to look good, and have the latest trend even on our heads. There are a few tricks you could try to get the hair style you want but most importantly, it is always a good idea to take good care of your hair and try to find a great hair doctor to help you with it! By hair doctor, I mean hair stylist at a salon. Most are very knowledgeable and can take a dried out frizz-ball, and nurse it back to a healthy beautiful head of hair. I am guilty of having my own hair doctor, and I am very happy I do!

A few tricks to try and are highly recommend, not to mention fun, quick and easy, are to find some hair extensions to match your natural hair color. It is highly suggested to take a close girlfriend or family member to the store to make sure the extensions match your natural color. That is actually the easy part. The more difficult part is to make sure when using them, it is not too obvious there are any extensions in the hair by making sure the clips are hidden well. The only thing to do in this situation is to play with the hair. An extra helping hand and set of eyes won’t hurt either. This experiment would make for a great pajama party to learn how to use them with other hair-extension girlfriends!

There are a few different kinds of extensions to pick from depending on what you want to do. There are individual "chunks" of hair you could buy to just clip or glue onto strategic places where they are needed, or there are more expensive pieces that pin up on half of the head. There are also colorful single “chunks” to purchase at beauty supply stores, but not all carry the colorful strands. These are great to match up with your dress color or for a more rock star look. They can also be used every day for fun to spruce up any hairstyle or outfit. I am also guilty of using them on a regular basis!

It is not impossible to have a beautiful healthy hair style for prom or any other occasion. Just keep in mind that it does take a little bit of time, effort, and money. If you’ll be trying to style your hair yourself, it is always a good idea to prep ahead of time and have an extra set of hands to help you out and an extra big mirror. Don’t wait until the last minute either. Doing your homework and shopping around for hair extensions a few weeks ahead of time, will help greatly if you choose to go that route. So, take care of your hair, and good luck styling!.

Prom Hairstyle: How to Take Care of Your Curly Prom Hairstyle

Curly Prom hair can be beautiful. But as anyone who has curly can attest to, there is a fine line between Nicole Kidman’s beautiful curls and a Bozo the Clown do. Follow these steps so no one will confuse the two when they check out your head.
  • Invest in a good prom hair cut. Find a stylist who knows how to cut curly prom hair. Depending on your style, layers are usually a no-no for curly prom hair. You should have your hair cut every 6 to 8 weeks.
  • Purchase the proper styling tools, shampoos, conditioners and styling products. There are several products that are created specifically for curly prom hair.
  • Shampoo your curly prom hair every other day. The natural oils in your hair help keep the curls smooth. Curly hair can get frizzy if washed too frequently.
  • Condition everyday. Even if you do not shampoo, wet and condition your prom hair. Use conditioner on the ends rather than the roots. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Deep condition every 2 to 3 weeks. This will help keep the rough shaft of your hair smooth and pliable. It also helps prevent split ends.
  • Use a pick to comb out wet hair—never a comb. Curly hair is fragile and needs to be handled gently. A pick moves through curls and tangles easily, without stretching or breaking the hair shaft.
  • Add the correct styling product to your hair, depending on your purpose. A serum will help keep your curls tight and shiny. A mousse or gel will keep the curls stiffer. A straightening solution will make your curls wavy rather than springy.
  • Utilize a diffuser every time you blow dry your hair. Never blow dry completely. A diffuser helps distribute the heat and air, keeping your curls tight and composed, rather than frizzy.
  • Keep your hands away from your hair throughout the day. The more you touch and finger your hair, the more wiry it will get.

Hair Styling Tips

Always use a protecting spray when blow drying your hair, this helps from damaging your hair. Then do a few more quick spray of the protector before straightening it. To really get a good hold use an extreme hold hair spray.

Colors are always a good way to make an emo style stand out. For those who can't color their hair, pick up some non-permanent hair color. It is temporary and will wash right out. You can find them in sprays and gels. All colors too- red, black, purple, blue, pink, green, teal, yellow, aqua, etc. You can always use more than one color!

The cut says it all. Short or long- it doesn't matter. Cut or have your hair cut in choppy, uneven layers. Side bangs are the bomb! Throwing some color in them will def. draw some attention. Using a razor will give you more texture- which is a great thing with emo hair.

If your hair is thick and you want it thinner to style better- use or have your stylist use a thinning sheer- this while thin out your hair (but not too much) and also give you texture.
